Qualcomm Technologies International Ltd is seeking a Senior Engineer for Digital IP Design to join their successful engineering team in Cambridge. This role represents an exciting opportunity to work with a leading player in the wireless earbud, headset, and smart speaker market.

The Voice and Music Business Unit develops and delivers cutting-edge hardware, software, and applications that combine the latest wireless and audio technologies. Their solutions can be found in billions of Bluetooth and Voice and Music products worldwide. The team offers comprehensive solutions for leading-edge low-power mixed-signal SOCs, covering everything from feasibility studies to system architecture, digital and analog design, verification and validation, implementation and layout, embedded software design, ATE test, production, and characterization.

As a Senior Engineer in Digital IP Design, you'll work alongside System and IC architects, Verification, Validation, and Software teams. The role demands both technical leadership skills and hands-on experience in low power digital IP design. Key responsibilities include designing and integrating RTL blocks for DSP, SoC, and peripheral IP, creating comprehensive documentation, and managing complete work packages from specification to delivery.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in RTL design using System Verilog, experience with DSP design for audio or wireless modem technologies, and familiarity with Arm AMBA/AXI specifications. You'll need to demonstrate effective communication skills, autonomous working capabilities, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.

  • Ownership of complete work package from specification through to delivery

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design experience
  • Knowledge of DSP design for Audio or wireless modem technologies
  • Familiarity with the Arm AMBA/AXI specifications or other bus protocols
  • RTL design in System Verilog and strong digital design knowledge
  • System C design and High-Level Synthesis flows
  • Ability to develop tests in a UVM environment
  • Ability to automate and improve process through scripting in Python, Perl
