Responsibilities For Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (AWS/Azure)
- Design and implement scalable, secure cloud solutions in close collaboration with engineering and architecture teams
- Perform cloud engineering tasks within agile sprints using established best practices and templates
- Build new cloud environments for customers using native AWS or Azure services
- Use basic architectural concepts and reusable components to build automated infrastructure, CI/CD processes and supporting toolsets
- Present technical solutions to different audiences, from developers to analysts to executives
- Advise customer teams and decision-makers on technology options, best practices and benefits of cloud-native approaches
- Act as Rackspace's voice in customer projects, with responsibility for quality, technical transparency and implementation success
Requirements For Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (AWS/Azure)
- Proven experience in implementing complex cloud projects from conception to production deployment
- Strong expertise in designing, deploying and operating automated, secure and stable cloud infrastructures (AWS or Azure)
- Strong customer orientation and willingness to take on tasks such as provisioning, maintenance and development of cloud-based systems
- Ability to participate in technical discussions at various levels, from architecture decisions to concrete implementation
- Application of automation-oriented principles within agile project methods
- Strong communication and team skills
- Experience with cloud-native architectures on AWS and/or Azure, both IaaS and PaaS
- Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code approaches
- Knowledge of programming and scripting (e.g., Python, Go, JavaScript)
- Familiarity with common cloud security concepts (IAM, KMS, Key Vaults, role-based access control)
- Experience in enterprise-scale environments with direct customer contact
