Rackspace is seeking a Data Engineer III to join their Cloud Data Services team in a remote position based in India. This role involves managing and operating various data platforms including Tableau, Databricks, DBT, and AWS services. The position requires working in rotational shifts (IST) and involves leading operational coverage for data pipelines, monitoring, and optimization.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cloud data platforms, resolving pipeline issues, implementing fixes, and ensuring optimal performance. They will work closely with customers and team members to handle various aspects of data engineering, from technical implementation to stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities For Data Engineer III
- Resolving pipeline issues and proactive monitoring for sensitive batches
- Design, build, test and deploy fixes to non-production environment
- Cost / Performance optimization and Audit / Security
- Create/update Knowledge base/runbooks as needed
- Lead and act as a POC for customer communication and escalation
- Handle change management and user requests
- Incident Management and Problem Management, Root cause Analysis
- Configure, manage and troubleshoot data analytics solutions
Requirements For Data Engineer III
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- 8-12 years of hands-on experience in configuring and managing azure data analytics solution
- Experience with Tableau, Tableau bridge server, Databricks, Dbt, SSRS, SSIS, AWS DWS, AWS APP Flow, PowerBI
- Ability to read and write SQL and stored procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work in rotational shifts (IST)
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays as required
