Responsibilities For Senior Gameplay Programmer

  • Develop and execute gameplay code, focusing on creation and testing of larger classes with intricate functionalities
  • Collaborate with team members from various disciplines
  • Resolve complex bugs and address basic performance concerns
  • Conduct pre-commit testing to maintain code quality standards
  • Ensure code is adequately commented and follow coding standards
  • Participate in code reviews and offer constructive feedback
  • Monitor and report progress through Jira
  • Assist team members and participate in backlog review and prioritization

Requirements For Senior Gameplay Programmer

  • Proficient in C/C++ programming with solid understanding of object-oriented development
  • Professional experience with at least one published console or PC game
  • Experience in crafting multi-threaded code for enhanced performance
  • Familiar with project scheduling, setting milestones, and delivering objectives
  • Well-versed in video game industry best practices
  • Passionate about shooters and/or cooperative gaming experiences
