Re Manufacturing is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join their dynamic team in Rochester, NY. This role combines expertise in automation engineering and PLC programming to design, construct, and maintain industrial manufacturing systems. The position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000-$120,000, plus participation in annual bonus and long-term incentive plans.

The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of experience in process automation or manufacturing, with strong capabilities in PLC programming, HMI development, and control system design. You'll work with cutting-edge industrial automation projects, collaborating with a diverse team of engineers and skilled tradespeople to deliver solutions across various industries including aerospace, defense, healthcare, and industrial equipment.

Key responsibilities include developing and debugging PLC code, designing electrical and pneumatic control systems, creating user-friendly HMI interfaces, and ensuring all systems meet safety and quality standards. You'll also manage project scope, coordinate with customers and team members, and provide on-site support when needed.

The position requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, and expertise with Rockwell Studio 5000 and Siemens development tools. Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills are essential, as you'll be working both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities For Senior Controls Engineer

  • Collaborate with customers and team members to define project requirements
  • Design and develop electrical and pneumatic control systems using AutoCAD Electrical
  • Develop bill of control materials and manage vendor quotes
  • Architect, write, and debug PLC code
  • Develop HMI screens for operation and troubleshooting
  • Lead debugging efforts including factory acceptance testing
  • Ensure designs meet standards and safety protocols
  • Manage project scope and budget requirements
