Senior Backend Engineer - Ad Signals

Reddit is seeking a talented backend focused software engineer with strong data skills to join their Ads Signals team. This role is crucial in growing the quantity and quality of off-platform conversion signals while prioritizing user privacy. The ideal candidate will use their data skills to guide the team's future direction, including the evolution of key products such as Signals Quality and Signals Anomaly Detection. They will also be involved in evolving the data pipeline and working on other backend-heavy projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Independently identifying opportunities based on data to improve conversion data quality
• Leading the development of advertiser-facing products
• Being a thought partner for leadership and cross-functional teams
• Collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality solutions
• Taking ownership of work from concept to delivery
• Continuously learning and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies

The role requires:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative or computer science-related field
• 5+ years of full-time backend and data-focused software engineering experience
• Strong data analysis skills and experience
• Experience in software development with a passion for learning new technologies
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to delivering high-quality solutions prioritizing user privacy and security
