Description For Director, ISV Developer Advocate: Global Technology Partnerships

Join Salesforce's Global Technology Partnerships team as a Director of ISV Developer Advocacy, leading a new team focused on inspiring and supporting our ISV partner developer community worldwide. This role combines deep technical expertise with creative content creation and community engagement. You'll be working with the Salesforce Platform, creating demos, producing technical content, and influencing product development.

As an ideal candidate, you should have extensive experience with enterprise software development and the Salesforce Platform, comfortable with both visual builder tools and code-based development. Your expertise should span across flows, web frontend frameworks, Apex, and APIs, with particular strength in scratch org and 2nd gen packaging.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Salesforce's ISV ecosystem through technical leadership and developer advocacy. You'll create inspirational reference apps, produce engaging video content, and serve as a bridge between the ISV developer community and Salesforce's product teams. The position requires a hybrid work arrangement with three days per week in office, offering competitive compensation ranging from $185,500 to $293,900 depending on location.

Responsibilities For Director, ISV Developer Advocate: Global Technology Partnerships

  • Develop and maintain expertise with the Salesforce Platform and ISV partner tools
  • Create sample apps, code samples, prototypes, and demos
  • Produce on-demand and live-streamed videos, and write technical content
  • Support virtual and in-person events with technical talks and workshops
  • Work with product and engineering teams as the voice of ISV developer
  • Engage with Salesforce ISV developer community across various channels
  • Work with Partner Marketing team to build new channels

Requirements For Director, ISV Developer Advocate: Global Technology Partnerships

  • Deep understanding of enterprise developers' needs
  • Profound understanding of Salesforce Platform business use cases
  • Technical expertise in web applications, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Apex, and APIs

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Understanding of content consumption trends
  • Relevant certifications or hands-on technical experience

  • Degree or equivalent experience required
