Software Engineer, Core Product - Salient

Salient is revolutionizing consumer loan servicing through AI, starting with the auto lending industry. As a Software Engineer, Core Product (Product Engineer), you'll be at the forefront of building and enhancing our AI platform that automates every aspect of loan servicing - from payment processing to fraud prevention to customer support.

Since our September 2023 launch, we've achieved remarkable milestones: scaling to $10M+ in ARR, partnering with major consumer lenders, becoming cash flow positive, raising $65M in funding, and processing over $150M in transactions. We've prevented $30M in fraud and identified 35k+ CFPB violations, demonstrating our significant impact.

You'll be responsible for both initial MVP development and scaling products from 1→10. Working directly on features that help lenders better serve customers while improving compliance and reducing risk, you'll develop across frontend and backend layers, write clean code, optimize performance, and own both technical and product responsibilities.

The role requires 3+ years of engineering experience, strong Python skills, and a proven track record of shipping user-focused products. You'll need excellent communication skills and deep user empathy. We value quick iteration and getting features to customers fast. Experience in regulated industries or auto loan servicing is a plus.
