Platform Engineer

Salsify, founded in 2012, is a key leader in the industry scaling the next core commerce infrastructure. As a Platform Engineer in the Global Infrastructure team, you'll be part of a mission to provide Salsify with the infrastructure, services, and tools necessary to efficiently scale the platform and support the growth of the engineering organization. You'll work closely with other software engineering teams, focusing on all phases from design to development to maintenance. You'll solve complex business and scalability problems and contribute to the direction of the platform.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing infrastructure automation and management solutions
• Designing and implementing solutions that empower engineering
• Delivering internal infrastructure services
• Expanding and enhancing the Kubernetes-based application environment

The ideal candidate should have:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
• Experience with orchestration platforms, configuration management, and infrastructure management systems
• Practical skills in writing testable, maintainable software
• Deep knowledge of core Cloud Hosting concepts and experience with cloud platforms
• Experience with container-based runtimes and orchestration
• Solid understanding of networking and distributed computing concepts
• Experience with GitOps and Infrastructure as Code concepts
• Excellent written communication skills
