Description For Senior AV Engineer

Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is seeking a Senior AV Engineer to join their Core IT team. This role focuses on delivering awesome systems, support, and experiences that enable teams to be as impactful as possible. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the technology and processes that enable people to present their best.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating, executing, and broadcasting events such as company-wide town-hall meetings and earnings calls
  • Setting up, running, and troubleshooting general AV equipment and video conferencing systems
  • Managing maintenance and integrations with AV vendors
  • Providing technical advice to presenters, leaders, and staff on tech requirements
  • Collaborating with internal partners and external vendors across a global organization

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience working in an AV environment
  • Expert knowledge of Zoom, Zoom Events, and Zoom Production Studio
  • Experience with Audio Mixing Boards, BlackMagic switchers, and Camera controllers
  • Expert knowledge of Q-SYS and Dante technologies
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Experience supporting live events and interacting with Executive teams

Responsibilities For Senior AV Engineer

  • Coordinate, execute, and broadcast events such as company-wide town-hall meetings, earning calls, or any high-visibility events
  • Set up, run, and troubleshoot all general AV equipment in offices
  • Set up, run, and troubleshoot video conferencing and streaming equipment
  • Plan and integrate tools and services for workplace collaboration
  • Manage maintenance and integrations AV vendor relationships
  • Seek opportunities to improve event execution
  • Manage AV configuration across different geographies
  • Collaborate with internal partners and external vendors across a global organization
  • Provide technical advice to presenters, leaders, and staff on tech requirements

Requirements For Senior AV Engineer

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience working in an AV environment
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent years of experience
  • Expert knowledge of Zoom, Zoom Events and Zoom Production Studio
  • Experience working with an Audio Mixing Board, BlackMagic switchers and Camera controllers
  • Expert knowledge of Q-SYS and Dante technologies
  • Must have clear and proven excellent communication skills
  • Desire to work as a team, and take a collaborative approach to tasks
  • Troubleshooting experience whilst running high-viz events
  • A passion for learning and doing new things in a fast-paced environment
