Description For UPW-IWT Staff Construction Engineer 72527

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a UPW-IWT Staff Construction Engineer to lead and manage design and construction projects for ultra-pure water and industrial wastewater treatment systems. This role requires a minimum of 7 years of UPW/IWT design and project experience in an industrial setting, with a preference for semiconductor facilities experience. The ideal candidate will have a B.S. degree in chemical or mechanical engineering and be responsible for leading strategic fab and support project planning, developing and approving construction designs, and interfacing with various stakeholders to ensure code compliance and safety.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading strategic fab and support project planning for UPW-IWT systems
  • Developing, reviewing, and approving construction designs related to UPW-IWT piping, equipment, and distribution rooms
  • Providing technical guidance to contracted design teams
  • Interfacing with site operations and EHS teams to ensure code compliance
  • Managing stakeholders across SAS Facilities, Manufacturing, and Engineering organizations
  • Performing field observation inspections to verify safety and code standards

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with IBC, IFC, and other relevant codes and standards
  • Familiarity with design and installation of facility equipment
  • Aptitude for documentation and data analysis using MS Office programs
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Texas (preferred)

  • Develop, review, and approve SAS site construction related to UPW-IWT piping, equipment and associated distribution rooms and buildings
  • Provide technical guidance to contracted design teams
  • Interface with site operations and EHS teams to audit code compliance
  • Manage stakeholders across SAS Facilities, Manufacturing, and Engineering organizations
  • Perform field observation inspections to verify safety and code standards
  • Identify, track, manage, and resolve project issues during design and construction

Requirements For UPW-IWT Staff Construction Engineer 72527

  • Minimum 7+ years of UPW/IWT design and project experience in an industrial setting
  • B.S. degree in chemical or mechanical engineering
  • Working knowledge of IBC, IFC, and other codes and standards applicable to IWT system design and construction
  • Experience managing and leading projects including design, specification, and construction
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Aptitude for documentation and data analysis using MS Office programs
  • Ability to work overtime / on non-scheduled days as required
  • Registered Professional Engineer in state of Texas or ability to transfer (preferred)
