Staff Engineer I, Data Engineering

The position focuses on developing analytical platforms to transform data and drive the strategy and development of Machine Learning platforms and features. As a Staff Engineer, you'll be responsible for creating and delivering data features that shape critical business products in Samsung Ads, ultimately influencing major aspects of data platforms and ad servicing products.

Your role will involve working with large-scale data systems, creating and managing data pipelines, and performing exploratory data analysis. You'll be responsible for efficiently onboarding terabytes of data within specific SLAs and collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand and meet their data needs.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, with 5 years of progressive experience. Technical expertise should include proficiency in Spark, Airflow, Python, Java, and AWS technologies. Experience with database technologies (MySQL, Oracle, NoSQL, Vertica) and machine learning domains (Computer Vision, NLP) is essential.
