Samsung Austin Research and Development Center (SARC) and Advanced Computing Lab (ACL) are seeking a Senior Debug and Validation Engineer to join their GPU Si & Emulation team. This role is crucial in validating Samsung's cutting-edge mobile GPU technology for successful productization. The position involves working with silicon bring-up, debugging, emulation, and diagnostic development to ensure GPUs meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

The Si & Emulation team plays a vital role in developing and validating semiconductor IPs that power Samsung's premium products. Working in a highly collaborative environment, you'll be part of a diverse, global team of talented engineers driving cross-functional impact across multiple stages of technology development.

The role requires strong technical expertise in GPU architecture, debug validation, and programming skills. You'll be responsible for end-to-end GPU silicon debug, post-silicon validation, and developing automation tools for improved efficiency. Responsibilities For Senior Engineer, GPU Debug & Validation Engineer (GPU Si & Emulation)

  • Own and contribute to end-to-end GPU silicon debug and post-silicon validation
  • Debug GPU and SoC hardware/software systems including Linux/Android kernel and firmware environments
  • Use tools like Lauterbach, scan chain, and waveform analysis for issue isolation
  • Develop tools and scripts to automate GPU functional validation
  • Analyze SoC emulation scenarios
  • Collaborate with design, verification, and software teams

Requirements For Senior Engineer, GPU Debug & Validation Engineer (GPU Si & Emulation)

Linux
  • 5+ years of experience with Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or comparable field
  • 5+ years of experience in pre-silicon/post-silicon debug validation
  • GPU architectural knowledge and development experience
  • Experience with GPU and Microprocessor Debug using Logic Analyzer
  • Familiarity with GPU APIs (OGL, OCL, Vulkan) and GPU software stacks
  • Experience with C/C++/Object Oriented programming, Python, Shell Scripting
  • Must work on-site 5 days a week
