Sr. Staff Physical Design PPA Engineer

Samsung Austin Research and Development Center (SARC) and Advanced Computing Lab (ACL) are seeking a Sr Staff Physical Design PPA Engineer to join their team. This role is crucial in developing and innovating design recipes for improving Power/Performance/Area metrics used in Physical Design execution on premium IPs. The position requires extensive experience in semiconductor design, particularly in physical design implementation and optimization.

The role involves leading PPA initiatives, driving methodology improvements, and hands-on work with synthesis and place-and-route processes. The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge technology, including 7nm Finfet or smaller process nodes, and contribute to Samsung's GPU development, including the Xclipse GPU with ray tracing technology for Galaxy smartphones.
