Description For Composites Manufacturing Engineer

Saronic Technologies, a leader in revolutionizing defense autonomy at sea, is seeking a Composites Manufacturing Engineer to play a crucial role in developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for autonomous surface vessels (ASVs). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology for the Department of Defense (DoD).

As a Composites Manufacturing Engineer, you will:

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for composite materials used in ASV production
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to integrate composite design specifications
  • Establish quality control measures and conduct root cause analysis
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and stay updated on industry trends
  • Create and maintain documentation, ensuring compliance with industry regulations
  • Provide training and support to production personnel

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Composites Engineering, or related field (Master's degree is a plus)
  • Proven experience in composites manufacturing engineering
  • Familiarity with autonomous systems, robotics, or maritime technologies
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles
  • Knowledge of industry standards related to autonomous maritime systems and composite materials
