Responsibilities For Mission Operations Engineer (Product)

  • Develop deep understanding of vehicle HW and SW architecture and integrated system operations
  • Lead planning and execution of structured field tests for vessel performance
  • Diagnose and perform real-time troubleshooting of autonomy, networking, and onboard hardware/software
  • Implement solutions for testing, safety of vessel operations, and system robustness
  • Own data logging and telemetry monitoring systems
  • Contribute to root cause analysis and issue triage workflows
  • Maintain autonomous vessels and test environments
  • Lead test cases validation for software updates and autonomy behaviors
  • Interface with various teams to translate product requirements into field-validated test objectives
  • Develop test procedures, checklists, and safety protocols

Requirements For Mission Operations Engineer (Product)

Python
Rust
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 1+ years of hands-on engineering experience
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with sensor integration
  • Familiarity with software development in Rust, Python
  • Ability to swim and tread water
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Must be able to work in marine environments
  • Up to 50% travel required
