Responsibilities For Camera Systems Engineer
- Define imaging architectures, including sensor, lens, filter, and optical path selection
- Select sensors and lenses based on imaging and environmental performance needs
- Apply knowledge of infrared imaging and associated components
- Interface with computer vision and AI teams
- Assemble and characterize prototype imaging systems
- Implement and troubleshoot camera data pipelines
- Source and evaluate components from optical and sensor vendors
- Partner with software, firmware, and mechanical teams
Requirements For Camera Systems Engineer
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience developing camera hardware systems
- Expertise in imaging sensor technologies and optical principles
- Deep understanding of infrared imaging systems
- Experience with image calibration and environmental test procedures
- Experience with optical alignment, integration, and test
- Proficiency in Rust and C/C++ for camera control
- Strong proficiency in Linux
- Familiarity with computer vision workflows and tools
