As a Senior ML/AI Engineer at Scenset, you'll be at the forefront of applying cutting-edge ML and AI applications to transform the travel industry. With a minimum of 5 years of experience, you'll work across our tech stack, developing mission-critical systems from the ground up. Your expertise in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and cloud platforms will be crucial in building reliable engineering systems and services.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic startup environment. You'll shape our engineering culture, mentor fellow engineers, and contribute to ML/AI-wide procedures. We're looking for someone who can balance innovation with practicality, has strong skills in data preprocessing and model evaluation, and is comfortable with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
We offer a competitive salary range of $180K – $220K, along with equity. This hybrid role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with an expectation to come into our co-working space twice a week.

Responsibilities For Senior Machine Learning Engineer
- Apply expertise across tech stack, including data processing, model development, infrastructure, and deployment
- Develop mission-critical AI and ML systems from the ground up
- Build reliable engineering systems and services from scratch
- Shape engineering culture and play a pivotal role in organization's evolution
- Mentor fellow engineers
- Participate in the interview process
- Contribute to ML/AI-wide procedures
Requirements For Senior Machine Learning Engineer
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine learning and/or AI engineering at startups or enterprise companies
- Proficiency in Python and other relevant programming languages
- Experience with ML/AI frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) for ML model deployment
- Knowledge of NLP techniques for processing travel-related text data
- Strong skills in data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation metrics
- Comfort working in an early-stage startup environment, balancing innovation and perfection
- Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines for ML models
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies for model performance evaluation
