Description For Field Service Engineer

Selecta, Europe's leading vending solutions and specialist coffee services provider, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their Technical department. Operating across 16 countries and serving 12 million people daily, Selecta is trusted by approximately 3,500 businesses in the UK alone.

The role involves maintaining and servicing vending equipment to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for diagnosing and repairing faults across a range of vending equipment, with the goal of minimizing equipment failures through proper service and maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have strong electrical knowledge and fault-finding skills, along with the ability to work independently while maintaining excellent customer relations. This position offers a combination of technical challenges and customer interaction, making it perfect for someone who enjoys both aspects of service engineering.

Responsibilities For Field Service Engineer

  • Diagnose and repair faults on a complete range of Vending Equipment
  • Ensure all work is completed at the first visit when possible
  • Review multiple fault equipment and prioritize persistent breakdowns
  • Maintain access to technical manuals/documentation
  • Attend training courses to maintain high workmanship standards
  • Maintain good customer relations
  • Maintain company vehicle in roadworthy condition

Requirements For Field Service Engineer

  • Full UK driving licence with at least 12 months driving experience and no more than 6 points
  • Strong electrical knowledge/experience
  • Technical background with strong fault finding and diagnosis skills
  • Ability to work safely on electrical equipment
  • Customer-focused with smart and professional appearance
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Right to Work in the UK permanently
