Sigma Defense is seeking experienced Cybersecurity Engineers (levels II-III) to support the Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES) program for U.S. Navy platforms. This role offers a competitive salary range of $110,000-$175,000 annually and requires 3-10+ years of experience in cybersecurity.

Key duties include implementing DoD cybersecurity policies, performing vulnerability assessments, and leading system hardening efforts across Windows and Linux environments. Responsibilities For 1521 - Cybersecurity Engineer II-III

  • Implement and enforce DoD cybersecurity policies across CANES systems
  • Perform vulnerability assessments using tools like ACAS, Nessus, SIEM, and ESS
  • Design, develop, implement, and troubleshoot security solutions
  • Lead system hardening efforts for Windows/Linux systems
  • Support RMF activities including control implementation
  • Assist with IAVM compliance, log analysis, and audit readiness
  • Perform patch management, system scanning, and incident response
  • Maintain system documentation and cybersecurity artifacts
  • Support system validation during test events

Requirements For 1521 - Cybersecurity Engineer II-III

Linux
  • 3-10+ years of experience
  • Security+ or CISSP certification required within 6 months
  • Operating System certification (Linux, Windows, VMware, Cisco) required within 6 months
  • Must possess or obtain active Secret security clearance
