Senior Software Engineer II (Remote Eligible)

Smartsheet is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer II to join their Developer Productivity team, a critical role that will directly impact the speed and quality of their software development lifecycle. With over 20 years of experience, Smartsheet has established itself as a leading platform for work management and team collaboration.

The role involves designing, building, and maintaining test frameworks, infrastructure, distributed testing solutions, and pipeline automation to empower engineers in shipping high-quality code faster. You'll work with a modern technology stack while tackling the challenge of modernizing legacy test code and infrastructure. The position offers an opportunity to work on both microservices architecture and existing monolith systems.

As a Senior Engineer, you'll be responsible for building scalable backend services using Kotlin and Java, solving complex distributed systems problems with AWS and Kubernetes, and leading code reviews and architectural discussions. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers and driving the adoption of AI-powered tools across teams.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $170,000 - $222,500 USD, along with comprehensive benefits including medical/vision/dental coverage, 401k matching, flexible time off, and up to 24 weeks of parental leave. The role can be based in Bellevue, WA office or work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is registered.
