Sony Electronics Singapore (SES) is seeking a Vulnerability Management Engineer to join their Global Security Incident Response Team (GSIRT) Integrated Threat Defense (ITD) team. Responsibilities For Vulnerability Management Engineer

  • Perform open-source research and analysis to identify newly disclosed vulnerabilities and emerging exploit techniques
  • Maintain awareness of latest vulnerabilities, CVEs, misconfigurations, and exploitation trends
  • Write and distribute security advisories on critical vulnerabilities
  • Identify and improve process for collecting, analyzing, and prioritizing vulnerability data
  • Conduct regular assessments of vulnerability management tools and workflows
  • Create and update documentation for vulnerability management processes
  • Provide training and support on vulnerability scanning and assessment tools
  • Prepare detailed vulnerability assessment reports and risk analyses
  • Support projects to improve vulnerability identification and remediation tracking
  • Leverage threat intelligence to assess and prioritize vulnerabilities
  • Collaborate with Security and Incident Response Teams for remediation efforts

Requirements For Vulnerability Management Engineer

Python
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Information Technology or bachelor's degree in related subject
  • Proven experience in vulnerability management, assessment, and remediation
  • Familiarity with scripting or basic programming (Python, PowerShell)
  • Understanding of system and network security principles
  • Basic understanding of vulnerability management frameworks (CVSS, NVD, OWASP Top 10)
  • Experience analyzing and correlating vulnerability data
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools (Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7)
  • Strong work ethic and commitment
  • Good communication and advocacy skills
