Staff Frontend Engineer

Privy, now part of Stripe, is on a mission to make privacy and user ownership the default online. We're seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer to lead our frontend SDK development efforts. As a technical leader, you'll be responsible for building intuitive interfaces, optimizing SDK performance, and architecting solutions for complex technical challenges.

You'll work at the intersection of developer experience and user privacy, creating tools that make it easy for developers to build products that put users first. The role involves deep work with JavaScript and React, focusing on our core SDKs while influencing our broader technical ecosystem.

We offer a competitive salary range of $224,000 - $336,000, along with comprehensive benefits including equity, medical coverage, and 401(k).

The position is hybrid-based in our New York Privy HQ, requiring at least 50% office presence monthly. This arrangement balances in-person collaboration with flexible work arrangements. The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of experience, deep JavaScript/React expertise, and a track record of building scalable systems. Experience in payments, fintech, or crypto is preferred, as is a history of contributing to open-source projects and technical communication through code, presentations, or blog posts.
