Data Engineer I - (Hybrid)

Strive Health is transforming kidney care through early identification, engagement, and comprehensive coordinated care. We're building commercial-grade technology to operate kidney care services at scale. Our data platform connects numerous healthcare systems, delivering clinicians a wealth of data and clinical insights.

As a Data Engineer I, you'll focus on building pipelines using data from various sources, including claims and clinical data. You'll become familiar with both the technical and business details of the source systems and engage with multiple technologies to acquire source data. This role reports to the Manager, Data Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines to integrate various source systems into the Strive Data Platform
• Analyze source system data to understand business logic and contribute to ensuring data quality throughout pipelines
• Support the development of cloud-based architecture components
• Apply and expand healthcare domain knowledge to inform the development of data pipelines

We're looking for someone with:

• 2+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably in healthcare or related technology fields
• Familiarity with healthcare data types and standards (e.g., Claims, EHR systems, HL7, FHIR)
• Working knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and database principles
• Intermediate proficiency in SQL and experience with Python
• Experience with both structured and unstructured data
• Basic understanding of cloud-based data architectures and technologies
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and healthcare industry trends
