SWATX is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer specializing in OpenShift to join their cloud infrastructure team. This role focuses on managing and maintaining OpenShift clusters while ensuring system reliability, performance, and security. The position requires extensive experience with container orchestration, particularly OpenShift and Kubernetes, and involves working closely with development and DevOps teams. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with a strong background in containerization technologies. This role offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies in a banking environment, managing large-scale private cloud infrastructure. Key responsibilities include cluster management, security implementation, automation, and continuous optimization of containerized environments. Responsibilities For Senior Cloud Engineer - Openshift
- Manage and maintain Red Hat OpenShift clusters to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability
- Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot containerized applications and services using OpenShift and Kubernetes
- Monitor cluster health, performance, and capacity; implement optimization strategies
- Collaborate with development teams to deploy, scale, and manage microservices-based applications
- Configure and maintain platform integrations (NTP, LDAP, storage solutions)
- Implement and maintain security practices
- Automate operational tasks using scripting and infrastructure as code tools
- Support backup, disaster recovery, and failover solutions
- Perform regular upgrades and patching
- Troubleshoot issues related to networking, storage, and application performance
- Participate in capacity planning and optimization initiatives
- Maintain documentation and SOPs
Requirements For Senior Cloud Engineer - Openshift
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in private cloud infrastructure engineering
- Proven experience managing OpenShift clusters in production environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Kubernetes, OpenShift, and containerized workloads
- Hands-on experience with NTP and LDAP configuration in OpenShift
- Solid understanding of container networking, storage management, and performance monitoring
- Experience implementing security best practices for containerized environments
- Preferred banking experience
- Proven track record of managing large-scale private cloud environments
