Staff Engineer, Modeling

Takeda Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Staff Engineer, Modeling to join their Synthetic Molecule Process Development (SMPD) team within the Process Engineering & Technology Group. This role combines chemical engineering expertise with advanced modeling and simulation to develop robust pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.

The position focuses on leveraging expertise in reaction kinetics, transport phenomena, and mathematical modeling to solve complex chemical reaction challenges. The role involves developing scale-up and scale-down models using both first-principle and data-based approaches, while implementing process analytical technologies (PAT) to enhance process understanding.

As a Staff Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of implementing digital twins and in-silico methodologies to optimize pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. The role offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge modeling tools and collaborate across multiple functions including Automation, Manufacturing, and Process Engineering teams.
