Tesla is seeking an Associate Manager for their Tesla Bot program to lead a substantial team of 20+ Engineering Technicians within the Humanoid AI Robot division. This role combines leadership in a 24/7 operational environment with hands-on technical expertise in robotics and automation. The position involves managing the team responsible for building and maintaining prototype robots and sub-systems, requiring expertise in mechatronics, industrial automation, and precision engineering.

Responsibilities For Associate Manager, Service, Tesla Bot

  • Manage Engineering Technicians who service Tesla Bot
  • Develop training programs and hiring plans for Technicians
  • Develop & maintain standardized work Instructions and track key metrics
  • Promote cross training, job flexibility, and versatility of Technicians
  • Support issue resolution including root cause investigation
  • Provide detailed written & verbal test status updates
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to resolve mechanical and electrical issues
  • Provide daily bot inspections and shift pass down reports

Requirements For Associate Manager, Service, Tesla Bot

Python
  • Experience managing teams in a service type environment
  • Ability to work with and develop performance metrics
  • Strong analytic problem-solving skills
  • Experience with hand and power tools, high & low voltage systems
  • Ability to interpret drawings and 3D CAD
