Tesla is seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join their autonomous driving team, focusing on developing robust models for their Robotaxi program. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to work on cutting-edge self-driving technology that directly impacts millions of Tesla vehicles worldwide. You'll be part of a lean team with access to one of the world's largest training clusters, developing novel techniques for autonomous vehicle behavior using advanced machine learning approaches.

The position involves working with massive datasets from millions of miles of driving data, implementing state-of-the-art techniques in generative modeling, imitation learning, and reinforcement learning. You'll be responsible for building scalable solutions that handle complex autonomous driving scenarios, particularly focusing on start and end of trip behaviors for Robotaxis.

As a senior member of the team, you'll collaborate across multiple functions, from ground truth generation to on-vehicle deployment, ensuring that your models meet Tesla's high standards for safety-critical systems.   • Develop novel techniques for robustly handling start and end of trip Robotaxi behaviors
  • Leverage millions of miles of driving data to build robust self-driving systems
  • Use cutting-edge techniques from generative modeling, imitation learning, and reinforcement learning
  • Work cross-functionally across ground truth generation, ML model training, and on-vehicle deployment
