Description For NVH Quality Engineer

Responsibilities For NVH Quality Engineer

  • Work independently to identify NVH concerns
  • Develop robust countermeasures for in-plant non-conformances
  • Assess vehicle performance for NVH – BSR (Buzz, Squeak, and Rattle), powertrain noise, road noise, and wind noise
  • Utilize all shop and NVH lab equipment as needed
  • Record test data during vehicle NVH testing
  • Work crossfunctionally with other Engineering teams to correct process, design, or incoming supplier quality concerns
  • Be a strong advocate for customers and the impact of NVH concerns on perceived quality

Requirements For NVH Quality Engineer

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Able to read and understand GD&T
  • Can perform stackup analysis of complex systems
  • Have great knowledge of Quality problem solving techniques
  • Experience with manufacturing
  • Excellent knowledge of vehicle and vehicle subsystems operation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong understanding of NVH diagnostics and rectification
