Description For Sr. Software Engineer, Backend, Factory Software

Tesla is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Factory Software team, focusing on backend development for manufacturing systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on critical systems that power the production of Tesla's electric vehicles, superchargers, and energy storage solutions. As a senior engineer, you'll be part of a small, expert team where you'll lead projects, mentor others, and solve complex technical challenges across the entire stack.

The position demands strong technical expertise in backend development, with hands-on experience in languages like Go, Java, or C++. What makes this role particularly appealing is the direct impact on Tesla's manufacturing capabilities. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain, ensuring that the software systems supporting Tesla's production are robust and efficient. The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $140,000 to $252,000 annually, plus stock awards and comprehensive benefits.

Tesla offers an exceptional benefits package, including zero-cost medical plans, family-building benefits, and various financial perks like 401(k) matching and stock purchase plans.
