Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will:

• Work closely with Infrastructure and development teams
• Ensure cloud infrastructure is well configured, robust, and secure
• Fulfill infrastructure requests
• Develop automated solutions to streamline development processes
• Build and enhance security controls
• Play a pivotal role in designing large scalable cloud native systems for millions of users

Main Responsibilities:

• Build, maintain, and deploy new and existing infrastructure
• Develop tooling to automate and streamline infrastructure processes
• Migrate services and applications to the cloud
• Aid development teams with infrastructure requests
• Detect and remediate infrastructure risks and control gaps

Essential Criteria:

• 3+ years' commercial experience in a similar role
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure)
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure services
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Azure DevOps
• Experience with creating and deploying infrastructure through Terraform
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash etc)

Desirable Criteria:

• 2.1 degree or higher in Computer Science/Software Engineering
• Knowledge of data protection, compliance, and governance (GDPR, ISO 27001/9001)
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud strategies
• Container technology (Docker, Kubernetes etc)
• Serverless technologies (Lambda, Fargate, etc)
• Terraform automation with Atlantis, Spacelift or Terraform Enterprise
• Experience with infrastructure as code best practices and shift left methodology
