The Boeing Company is seeking an Embedded Linux Chief Software Engineer for a fully virtual position to lead their Linux Embedded Platform Team. This role is crucial in establishing Linux as a mission and security-critical Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) for defense & aerospace applications. The position offers a competitive salary range of $150,450 - $233,450 and requires 7+ years of software development experience.

The role involves leading multi-disciplinary teams in designing, building, and assuring new OS features with a focus on safety and security. As a key leader, you'll be responsible for delivering a common embedded Linux product line solution across Boeing's entire product portfolio. This is a highly visible, strategic position that impacts all areas of the enterprise.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in C programming, Linux platform building with Yocto or Buildroot, and embedded software architecture. Additional desired skills include experience with safety-critical software development, multiple processor families, and aerospace/defense industry knowledge.
