Job Description

The Boeing Company is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for F-22 Pilot Training Simulation at their Berkeley, MO location. This senior-level position focuses on developing critical simulation software for training F-22 fighter pilots. The role involves working with the Vehicle Simulation Team within Boeing Global Services, responsible for the F-22 Pilot Training Avionics Simulation (PTAS) and F-22 Advanced Simulation Toolset (FAST).

As a Technical Architect and Lead Software Engineer, you'll shape the team's technical direction, mentor other engineers, and work on complex real-time simulation systems. The position offers hands-on experience with sophisticated simulation environments, including desktop-based Development Test Environment (DTE) and Full Mission Trainer (FMT) cockpit systems.

  • Design and plan long-term roadmap of the Vehicle Simulation team as Technical Architect and Lead Software Engineer
  • Interact with users to refine requirements and timelines
  • Work with management to assess prioritization of feature enhancements

Requirements For F-22 Pilot Training Lead Software Engineer–Simulation

  • 14 years of experience developing in C/C++ for real-time embedded systems
  • 14 years of experience with Windows OS and Linux/Red Hat OS
  • 14 years of experience in using Software Development tools such as Git, Bitbucket, MS Visual Studio

  • Must be able to obtain U.S. Security Clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship)
