Description For Software Engineer–Embedded (Embedded)

The Boeing Company, a global leader in aerospace, defense, and security, is seeking a Mid-Level Embedded Software Engineer to join their Gigabit Ethernet Data Multiplex Systems (GEDMS) team in Huntington Beach, CA. This role is part of Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization, focusing on high-speed fiber-optic shipboard networking for U.S. Navy guided missile destroyers.

  • Design, develop, test, debug and maintain software for embedded devices and systems

Requirements For Software Engineer–Embedded (Embedded)

Linux
  • 5+ years of experience in C, C++ development
  • 5+ years of experience in Linux, Embedded Linux
  • 5+ years of experience in Low level network programming using standard protocols (TCP/UDP/SNMP/SSH)
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship)
  • Bachelor of Science degree preferred in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
