Boeing is seeking an experienced Software Engineer - Systems to join their flight deck team in Neu-Isenburg, Germany. This role is crucial in designing and developing state-of-the-art flight deck systems for Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
The position involves working at the intersection of software engineering and aviation, where you'll be responsible for crafting, testing, and certifying industry-leading flight deck interfaces. You'll work directly with pilots worldwide to ensure designs meet operational needs and enhance aviation safety.
As a Senior Software Engineer in this role, you'll be involved in the complete lifecycle of flight deck development - from early conceptual design to supporting systems through their service life. The work encompasses designing interface layouts, establishing requirements, conducting simulations, and implementing improvements based on real-world feedback.
The ideal candidate brings a strong technical background with at least 6 years of experience, combining software engineering expertise with knowledge of human factors and aviation systems. You'll be part of a diverse team including pilots, system engineers, and Human Factors specialists, all working together to advance aviation technology.
Key aspects of the role include prototyping cockpit layouts, validating designs through simulator testing, and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations. - Design, model, test, and certify flight deck interfaces and operational behavior
- Establish design requirements for flight crew interfaces

- Prototype cockpit layouts using computing tools
- Validate design requirements using simulators and flight test
- Collaborate with pilots and engineers on flight deck interfaces
- Ensure application of Boeing Flight Deck and human factors design principles
Requirements For Software Engineer - Systems(Experience or Senior) m/f/d
- MSc or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors or related discipline
- Experience in simulation and modeling, Model Based Systems Engineering
- Experience in defining systems and translating system-level requirements
- Fluent in English
- Rights to work in Germany
- 6+ years of applicable experience for Senior level
- Knowledge of flight deck operations and human factors
- Experience in flight and simulator tests
