As a Senior Full Stack Engineer in their London office, you'll play a crucial role in shaping their technology proposition. With clients including the NFL, Premier League, Formula 1, and UEFA, you'll work on high-impact projects that influence the sports industry.
The role demands a seasoned engineer with 7+ years of experience who can lead technical design, write clean code, and mentor other engineers. You'll work with TypeScript, React, and Node.js, implementing best practices and driving technical excellence. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with 2 days in the London office.
As part of a growing team of almost 1000 people across 14 offices, you'll contribute to projects that help sports organizations better understand and connect with their audiences. The role combines technical leadership with practical engineering, requiring expertise in modern development practices, cloud platforms, and performance monitoring.
This 6-month contract position is perfect for an experienced engineer who's passionate about sports technology and wants to work with some of the biggest names in sports. You'll have the opportunity to influence technical decisions, mentor others, and work on systems that serve massive audiences worldwide.
Responsibilities For Full Stack Engineer (6 month contract)
- Write clean, and reusable code following best practices
- Be an advocate for developer experience
- Lead and influence technical design, architecture and development of digital projects
- Work with Engineering Managers, Leads and Product Managers to define technical scope
- Set up software development frameworks for release management and automation
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other engineers
- Keep up to date on emerging technologies and trends in sports technology
Requirements For Full Stack Engineer (6 month contract)
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in software engineering
- High level of proficiency in TypeScript, React and Next.js with Node.js experience
- Experience in CI/CD environment with tools like Circle CI, GitHub actions or Azure DevOps
- Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS or GCP
- Experience in agile development practices and test automation
- Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Data Dog, Sentry
- Strong desire for building performant applications
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience building services for high traffic systems
