Responsibilities For Senior Backend Engineer
- Write clean, and reusable code following best practices
- Be an advocate for developer experience
- Lead and influence technical design, architecture and development of digital projects
- Work with Engineering Managers and Product Managers to define technical scope
- Set up software development frameworks for release management and automation
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other engineers
- Keep up to date on emerging technologies and trends in sports technology
Requirements For Senior Backend Engineer
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in software engineering
- High proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript with experience in React and Next.js
- Strong understanding of database systems including MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Experience in CI/CD environment with tools like Circle CI, GitHub actions
- DevOps and platform engineering culture experience
- Experience in agile development practices and test automation
- Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Data Dog, Sentry
- Strong desire for application performance
