The Stateful Platform team at Uber is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the development of infrastructure for deploying and running database engines and stateful systems. As an Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for driving technical alignment with partner teams, owning roadmap execution, and delivering high-quality projects. You'll grow and mentor a team of skilled software engineers, contribute to the engineering culture, and help define the future of Uber's Stateful Platform.
The team builds and maintains infrastructure for MySQL, Docstore, Redis, ZooKeeper, Kafka, and HDFS, focusing on high availability, low cost, and automation. They work with dockerized databases, intelligent placement systems, and services written in Go. The role offers opportunities to extend integrations with different database engines and increase fleet-wide efficiency.
