Sr. Software Engineer - Android - Autonomous Mobility & Delivery

The AM&D (Autonomous Mobility & Delivery) team at Uber is responsible for shaping the autonomous future of Uber's Rides and Eats business. As a Sr. Software Engineer - Android in this team, you'll be working on building the best-in-class user experience that is safe, informative, trustworthy, and magical for autonomous vehicles.

Your role will involve working across various Uber experience surfaces, including the Uber Rider App, UberEats App, and UberEats Merchant App. The mission is to ensure that all of Uber's Mobility and Delivery experiences are ready for the autonomous future before it arrives at scale.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, architecting, developing, and testing mobile applications using Uber's technology stack
• Evaluating complex development projects and providing recommendations for technical issues
• Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Designers, Data Scientists, and Operations teams
• Building user-facing products across rider, driver, eater, and merchant apps
• Delivering high-quality products with fast iterations
• Impacting the lives of mobility riders globally and disrupting a trillion-dollar industry

The ideal candidate should have:

• Strong focus on high-quality mobile UI experiences
• Passion for delivering software that delights end users
• Proficiency with UI/UX paradigms to build elegant user experiences
• Experience in analyzing features in production using analytics and experiments
• Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work efficiently as part of a team
• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with Android development
• Experience in working on customer-facing applications in mobility or delivery business (preferred)
• Experience in cross-platform development (iOS and Android) is a plus
