Walmart is expanding its operations with a new state-of-the-art milk processing facility in Robinson, Texas, scheduled to begin operations in 2026. This role is for an Automation Supervisor position that will be crucial in managing and maintaining the automated systems within this new facility. The position combines technical expertise in PLC programming, robotics, and industrial automation with supervisory responsibilities.
The facility will serve more than 750 Walmart stores and Sam's Clubs throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and parts of Arkansas and Mississippi, processing and bottling various milk products for Walmart's Great Value and Sam's Club's Member's Mark brands. This represents Walmart's commitment to building a more resilient and transparent supply chain.
As an Automation Supervisor, you'll be responsible for programming and troubleshooting automated control systems, managing daily operations, providing technical support, and leading a team of maintenance professionals. The role requires expertise in PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Rockwell, Siemens), SCADA/HMI systems, and industrial maintenance.
The position offers competitive compensation ($80,000-$120,000 annually) plus performance bonuses and comprehensive benefits including healthcare, 401(k), stock purchase options, and educational assistance. Work schedule will initially be Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm during construction, transitioning to Wednesday-Saturday 5:00am-3:30pm post-startup.
