Description For Full-Stack Software Engineer

Wanderlog is revolutionizing the travel planning space with their top-ranked trip planner app for iOS and Android. Founded in 2019 by twin brothers Peter Xu and Harry Yu, the company has grown to serve millions of travelers monthly. The engineering team, consisting of 7 engineers from prestigious institutions like MIT, UC Berkeley, and the University of Toronto, focuses on making travel more accessible and easier for everyone.

As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you'll be working with a modern tech stack including TypeScript, React, React Native, and Node.js/Express. The role offers a unique opportunity to shape product decisions and build features that directly impact travelers worldwide. You'll be involved in everything from developing AI-powered tools and improving mobile app performance to creating Chrome extensions and enhancing user collaboration features.

The company culture emphasizes work-life balance and a genuine passion for travel, with twice-annual travel offsites that allow team members to experience new places while collaborating in person. The team values putting travelers first, end-to-end product ownership, and moving fast through smart development decisions.

This position is ideal for experienced developers who combine technical expertise with product thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset. You'll be joining a self-sustaining, default-alive startup that's making a real impact in the travel industry. The role offers competitive compensation between $80K-$130K plus equity, and while it's remote-friendly, you'll need to be based in the Americas timezone for team collaboration.

Working at Wanderlog means being part of a team that truly uses and believes in their product, with regular opportunities to contribute to all aspects of the business from user research to product design and development. If you're passionate about travel and want to help make it more accessible to others while working with cutting-edge technology, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact.
