Software Engineer (Data Platform)

As a Software Engineer in our Data Platform team, you'll be at the heart of Wayve's data-driven approach to developing next-generation autonomous vehicles. You'll work on building the Wayve data platform, facilitating data ingestion, labelling, storage, curation, and analysis of our driving data. This role offers an exciting opportunity to directly influence the performance of self-driving algorithms.

Key responsibilities include:

• Quality control and validation of datasets
• Labelling, enrichment, and augmentation of data at scale using thousands of GPUs
• Orchestration of data processing and machine learning workloads
• Building infrastructure for running Flyte and notebook environments at scale

We're looking for candidates with:

• Proficiency in Python
• Knowledge of software engineering practices
• Experience working with concurrent, parallel, and distributed computing
• Passion for building internal tooling and frameworks
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably Azure)
• Experience with data processing technologies like Databricks, Apache Spark, Apache Beam, Airflow, or Flyte
