Description For Lead Software Engineer

Wells Fargo's Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) group is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join their Human Resources Information Technology (HRIT) team. This role is part of a dedicated Agile team supporting Workday Engineering functions, focusing on configuration, integration, Orchestration, and Workday Extend engineering for HR products. The position offers an opportunity to work on complex, enterprise-wide technology initiatives with broad impact.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in software engineering and HR technology systems, particularly Workday. Responsibilities For Lead Software Engineer

  • Develop Workday applications using Workday Extend, Workday Orchestrate, Integration Systems, Report Writer, and Workday Studio capabilities
  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions
  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts
  • Serve as a peer mentor and team tech lead

Requirements For Lead Software Engineer

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience
  • 5+ years of HR technology experience (e.g. PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP or Workday)
  • 5+ years of business systems analysis or design experience
  • 5+ years of technology release or implementation experience
  • 1+ years of Workday Studio and Integration Systems experience
