Software Engineer, Buyer Growth

Whatnot, the leading livestream shopping platform in North America and Europe, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Buyer Growth team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to shape the future of e-commerce by combining community, shopping, and entertainment.

The position focuses on driving Whatnot's top-of-funnel growth and first-time buyer success, working on critical initiatives such as onboarding flows, referral systems, guest browsing, and notification systems. As a senior engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and owning end-to-end systems that impact millions of users, making crucial architectural decisions to ensure reliability and scalability.

The role requires a strong foundation in both backend and frontend development, with 5+ years of experience in high-growth tech companies. You'll work closely with product, marketing, and data science teams to identify growth opportunities and rapidly iterate on experiments. Whatnot offers an attractive compensation package ranging from $190K to $260K, plus equity.
