Software security engineer, embedded

WRITER is seeking a Software Security Engineer (Embedded) to strengthen their AI/AGI services platform security. This role combines deep software engineering expertise with security focus, responsible for protecting millions of users through fraud prevention, abuse detection, and identity systems. The position requires 8+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in security-focused development.

The role involves building and scaling critical security systems including customer authentication, fraud detection, and AI security controls. You'll create developer-friendly security frameworks and tools that enable engineering teams to work efficiently while maintaining robust security standards. Key responsibilities include implementing multi-party authorization, secrets management, and zero-trust networking components.

Working in a hybrid setting in New York City, you'll collaborate closely with AI Security, Detection & Response, and Cloud/Infrastructure teams. The ideal candidate should have proven experience with distributed systems, API design, and programming in Go or Python. Understanding of LLM security challenges and experience with fraud prevention at scale are crucial.
