Xero is seeking a Senior Security Network Engineer to join their Corporate Network team within Cyber Security Engineering. This role focuses on delivering and maintaining Xero's network infrastructure for offices and remote work capabilities. The position involves hands-on problem-solving in corporate environments, specifically with Firewalls, SASE, ZTNA, WiFi, LAN Switching, and WAN. The ideal candidate will build resilient and scalable networks, implement automation practices, and work with cutting-edge security technologies. You'll be responsible for developing secure network architectures, enforcing security protocols, and ensuring compliance with SOC2 and ISO27001 standards. Responsibilities For Senior Security Network Engineer
- Develop, implement and manage scalable network architectures (SASE, ZTNA, DLP, CASB, SWG and SD-WAN)
- Assess, design and enforce security protocols
- Automate security configurations and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Perform routine assessments and optimize network devices
- Perform capacity planning and implement upgrades
- Drive troubleshooting efforts and manage incident response
- Maintain network documentation and review configurations
- Engage in stakeholder management
- Lead incident response efforts
- Provide coaching and mentorship
- Participate in 24/7 on-call roster
Requirements For Senior Security Network Engineer
- Strong engineering experience in network security, cloud-based security solutions, and Zero Trust architectures
- Experience with VPN, Firewalls, Switches, Routers and Wireless Controllers
- Experience using network tools and SD-WAN
- Deep understanding of network security compliance frameworks
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Terraform)
- Ability to design secure, scalable network architectures
- Strong incident response and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working in high-availability network security environments
- Strong understanding of network and system administration security
