I'm currently looking for a new role and would find it helpful if members could share their recent interview timelines with Big Tech or Big Tech-adjacent companies. Given the diverse backgrounds in this community and the anonymity it provides, I believe this information could benefit many who are planning their job search strategies and study schedules. From what I've seen, loops need to move pretty quickly, especially for junior (L3) and mid-level (L4) roles. Just a couple weeks between each round. You can ask for something later, but then you risk the headcount being filled.
For the future, I recommend sharing some data points of your own when starting threads like these, just to get the ball rolling.
An unfortunate angle is that I don't think a ton of people are getting into these FAANG-level loops nowadays. The economy is all weird right now, and in times of uncertainty, companies (especially large publicly traded ones) slash hiring while boosting firing.

3 days agoThoughtful TarodactylTaro CommunityThis data point from interviewing io suggests that meta is hiring aggressively right now. This is basically the number of bookings they are getting (which is presumably SWE dominant, also tends to be more senior skewed)

Oh yeah, Meta is kind of an outlier as they're throwing the entire world at their ads organization š¤£
Gotta get more cash to set on fire for Metaverse and AI development.
