The interview process was for a Dot Net Full Stack developer. It included one technical, one managerial, and then an HR round.
Since it happened during COVID times, everything was done using video calls.
The first round was taken by a software developer (I think) whose technical knowledge and communication skills were not good enough. He shared his video from which everything in his house was visible. (By mentioning this, I want to reflect the lack of professionalism that an interviewer should have).
The managerial round was very easy, with no questions related to the technologies or the projects I had worked on. He asked fixed questions and was not even caring about the answers I was giving. He just completed his formalities and sent me to the next round.
The final round, the HR round, was the only round where I sensed some professionalism in the way of talking and asking questions. I can say that this was the most difficult round in the entire process.
Between these rounds, I received no updates if I was rejected or proceeded to the next round. I had to continuously send emails or ask my friends (who were employees at Accenture) to check with the recruiters about my candidature status.
After multiple follow-ups and emails, I finally received an email stating that I had been selected for the profile, and the recruiter discussed the salary with me.
I received a call from one of the Software Engineers working at Accenture wanting to know my technology stack. He told me that I would have to appear for a client interview before they selected me for the project and wanted me to learn Angular for the interview. He asked me to go through Angular interview questions on Google and then appear for the interview, but I never received a call regarding that.
Suddenly, a few days later, I received an email stating that since I had not accepted their offer letter on their portal after multiple requests, they were cancelling my candidature. I was shocked to see that and stated clearly to the recruiter that I had received no such emails or notifications from their job portal to accept any kind of offer letter.
Everything happened in the month of November 2020, and I am writing this interview experience at the end of January. I have received no update from their side.
Accenture, being one of the largest service-based companies in the world, showing this kind of attitude towards candidates shows how irresponsible they can be and how they can affect and ruin your career with a single email. This was one of the worst interview experiences in my career.
