Pros

Some staff are good people.

Cons

No annual pay rises to even match CPI. Meanwhile, the CEO made over $20 million USD last year.

Pay below market rate.

Poor career progression for technical people.

Arbitrary technology decisions.

No work sold in React.

Long working hours.

Projects are constantly undersold to be competitive. This leads to 12-hour days.

Over-promising to clients means delivery people are thrown under the bus.

They will show you around their fancy office, but you will never get to work there; you'll be cooped up in a client's basement.

Fake culture.

Sexist hiring practices.

Advice to Management

Accenture is a platform vendor. They sell a lot of work in AEM, SAP, and Salesforce. This becomes an issue for front-end developers when a project is solicited by an architect from one of these technologies. Often, the stack decisions involve using monolithic and outdated technologies.

If you want talented front-end developers, you need to sell work with decoupled, headless architecture and let front-end development leads choose their technology.
