Pros

Opportunities for quality projects and advancement do exist, but you need to be on the right team, get transferred to the right team, and navigate company politics.

Cons

Many mid-level leaders do not have proper management training (they were promoted to get away from a role) and have not acquired the skills needed for proper project management. You either have boring, not challenging projects and twiddle your thumbs during bench time, or you are overloaded and drowning. There is no middle.

Advice to Management

I am concerned mid-level management will not survive the transition to Accenture, and growing pains will continue. The company continues to lose good talent because of this.
